61st WORLD LEPROSY DAY
26th January 2014 – PNL observed the 61st World Leprosy Day organising a programme at Jitgadi, Butwal 15, where a number of people affected by leprosy reside. The programme highlighted the work of PNL for people affected by leprosy and the current situation of leprosy in Nepal. The programme included distribution of fruits to the people affected by leprosy. Mr Chitra Bahadur Gurung, the chairperson of the Committee of People Affected by Leprosy distributed the fruits.

Amputee Camp
PNL in coordination with International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and International Nepal Fellowship (INF) runs an Amputee Camp (artificial limbs) once in a year. PNL staff members with ICRC and INF staff members gathered to review about the Camp after recently held Amputee Camp.

Health Camp
PNL has organized a 1-day Health Camp at Gonaha Village Development Committee, Rupandehi district, in the premises of one local school. Members of Self Help Groups of Gonaha, their family members, relatives, neighbours and many people had an opportunity to get free health check up. Almost all people attending the Health Camp were benefited with required medicines. The Camp was held with voluntary support of doctors and medical staff members from United Mission to Nepal Hospital, Tansen, Palpa.
